Pray Cape Town

My house shall be called a house of prayer.

Pray Cape Town is a unified prayer movement seeking God for a spiritual awakening in this city and from here, across Africa and to the nations.

01 — A remnant rising

God is calling His church to become a house of prayer once again— a people who call on Him and desperately cry out for Him to come and heal our land.

We long to see that remnant rise again in our day in Cape Town — the Church and her leaders uniting across suburbs, languages and denominations to contend with one collective voice: "We want You here." Christ's prayer is our cry. His kingdom come. We believe God has significant purpose for Cape Town. We believe the wells of revival are being unlocked in this generation as the Church of the city comes together as one—like the stones of an altar, and contends together for reformation in this city. We pray for our city to awaken to Jesus — to become a place marked by revival, reformation, and the transforming power of the gospel across every sphere of society. Cape Town will be a light to the nations.  Psalm 2:8 "Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as your possession."

01

Prayer Walks

Teams walk the streets of our neighbourhoods in intercession — praying over homes, schools, businesses and government, asking God to open blind eyes and heal what is broken.

02

Prayer Houses

Houses of prayer planted across the city, some in partnership with other local churches, where the presence of Jesus is hosted, His glory is sought, and His heart expressed through us in contending prayer.

03

The Collective.  A Gathering for pastors and leaders

A monthly gathering on the first Tuesday of each month for pastors and leaders from across the city, hosted by local shepherds, creating space to cry out to God together rather than build alone, and receive encouragement from one another.
